Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare has declared his intention to vie for the position of the President under a yet-to-be determined political platform. The Pastor who disclosed this on Monday Morning during the cross over service held to usher in the New Year at the Church's auditorium in Ogba, Lagos said the mandate to run was a devine command from God.

He said God commanded him to run for the office of the President in order to bring prosperity to the country.

"I heard the Lord say to me, politics is not over for you, there is still one thing left for you to do; run for president And He said to me, I will work it out myself. I will make it happen in due course. Please trust me, I lie not in the Holy Ghost. This is not easy for me to share with you. I shared this with you, so that you can pray along with me.

God has not told me the exact time, but said He will make it happen in due course. It appears destiny is calling and time is now. I love this Church but destiny is calling. Please pray for me like never before because we are in this together.

It does not matter what anybody says, I never listen to men; I listened to God. I'm not looking for anything. He says I will make it happen in due course. When that moment comes, I will let you know. He has not given me the exact time he has not said when and where... He said it is not over with you in politics yet..."
