President Muhammadu Buhari has appreciated all Nigerians for the support he is receiving from them as he continues to lead the country. The President gave the appreciation Thursday night, at the Presidential Villa, when he hosted politicians and the business community to a breaking of fast in the spirit of Ramadan.

He noted with delight that Nigeria has recorded a lot of successes especially in the agricultural sector.

“I am very pleased that we haven’t lost focus from our campaign promise of fixing the economy, improving the security of lives and property and the fight against corruption. I am very grateful for the consistent support I am receiving and I also thank God because the last two rainy seasons have were very good, the farmers are happy and we have now stopped the importation of rice by 90 percent,” he said.

Earlier while speaking on behalf of the business community, mogul, Aliko Dangote thanked the President for providing the conducive environment for business across the country.

“From the business side we want to thank the President for directing us in the right way and today the economy is revamping and our businesses are improving everyday and I am sure by God’s grace we will do much better going forward,” he predicted.

Dangote said Nigeria has done so well in rice production and the country can now feed the whole of West Africa.

Similarly, the politicians were full of praises for President Buhari’s people oriented programmes and style of leadership.
