Emerging reports indicate that the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will this week meet with the recently rescued six students of Lagos Model College, Igbonla, Epe Area of Lagos state.  A source in the presidency who confirmed the report to Vigil360 stated that the meeting will take place at the State House.

According to him, it will afford the government the opportunity to debrief the students as well as make necessary arrangements to cater for the psychological needs of the students since some of them might be in a traumatic situation.

The students, Pelumi Philips, Farouq Yusuf, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George, Judah Agbausi and Peter Jonah were on May 25 abducted from their school. Their abductors after establishing contact, demanded a ransom of over N400 million before the figure was reduced to N100 million following the inability of the parents to meet their demand.

The students were however rescued after the governors of Lagos and Ondo states waded into the matter. It is, however, unclear if the state governments paid ransom or not.
