Senator representing Kogi West senatorial District, Dino Melaye has been arrested by the Nigeria Police and officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The Senator who disclosed his arrest on his verified Twitter handle stated that he was on his way to Morocco on an official assignment sponsored by the Federal Government before he was taken into custody.
His tweet read;
“I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in.”
Dino had earlier been declared wanted by the Police.
