The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has challenged his counterpart the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinibu in a television interview before he will reply Tinibu his comment he made on Arise TV.
Atiku chided Tinibu over the selection of his running mate of the same faith saying it was the same reason he declined Tinibu when he lobbied to be his running mate in 2007. However, Tinibu Support Organisation, TSO, chided Atiku for making such a comment on their boss, saying Atiku was not prepared for the presidency at the time he was quoting.

Asiwaju in his statement highlighted six areas where he said Atiku lied during his interview, noting that contrary to Atiku’s claim; Tinibu said it was the PDP that wanted him to be running mate, not Atiku.

Reacting to Tinibu’s reaction, Atiku yesterday through his media adviser, Paul Ibe said they were shocked by Tinibu’s reaction, therefore, challenged the APC, for a live interview.

The former vice president said he was not surprised at Tinibu’s response s Tinibu has been dodging television interviews for reasons known to all.

The statement partly reads; “We would like to challenge Bola Tinubu to subject himself to an hour-long interview as the Waziri did, and if he is able to be as articulate and mentally present as our candidate, then he can talk.

“Until then, we will only want to remind him and his yes men that they are not in a position to point fingers when they have not sat on the hot seat.”
