The All Progressive Congress (APC) has on Thursday said there was no provision for the third term for President Buhari while dissociating itself from the purported legal action taken by one of its member from Ebonyi state seeking the third term for Buhari and APC governors.

Minutes after the Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai knelt down at a grand rally in Lokoja, begging the electorates to forgive Yahaya Bello and support his reelection bid, the wife of the President of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, has also appealed to Kogi residents to forgive all that governor Yahaya Bello has done to them in the past four years.

 The Presidency on Saturday warned Nigerians to be at alert against attacks from bandits, adding that reports suggest the criminal elements may be moving to the South West to carry out attacks. Dr Amina Shamaki, the Permanent Secretary, Special Services, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) raised the alarm while speaking at the Federal and States Security Administrator’s Meeting in Jalingo.

Traditional rulers in Orlu, Imo State, on Thursday, appealed to the Federal Government to allow the leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu to return to Nigeria for the burial his mother, Sally, without molestation. The appeal was made at Amakwo Event Centre in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State during a crucial meeting of stakeholders.

Lagos State House of Assembly member, Mr Victor Akande, has commended the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s commitment to decongest and improve the condition of correctional centres in six months. The lawmaker who represents Ojo Constituency I gave the commendation in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that his administration will stretch it's reach and capacity in protecting all Nigerians, not minding the distance.  He gave the assurance in Sochi, Russia, while addressing a gathering of students and professionals towards the conclusion of his three-day visit to Russia, where he participated in the Russia-Africa Summit, alongside over 40 Heads of State and governments.
