The accused clerk of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Philomena Chiesche who allegedly claimed that a mysterious snake swallowed N36 million, being proceed from the sale of JAMB scratch cards has denied giving such statement. Philomena, in an interview with CNN said reports claiming that she was interrogated by a team of auditors were incorrect as she has not been questioned by anyone about the missing money.
She said the Board fabricated the story and handed her over to the authorities, lamenting that she is a mere clerk working under Directors and other senior officers.
According to her “I did not say any money was swallowed by a snake. Nobody questioned me about that case. I am just a clerk and I served under directors who are accounting officers. I wonder why they are personalising the case?”
