Inaugural LPGAN Tourney Set To Tee Off With 200 Female Golfers
The maiden edition of the Ladies Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria (LPGAN) will tee off in Abuja at the IBB International Golf and Country Club with 200 golfers. The golfers will be competing in the professional, category 1 and 2 and invited guests’ categories. The professionals and category 1 and 2 amateur players will compete in over 72 holes, while the guests will feature in 36 holes.

The Nigerian Fencing Federation has been awarded the rights to host the 2018 Junior and Cadet (J/C) African Fencing Championships in Lagos. The federation’s spokeman, Azubuike Okoro, said the championships would take place from Feb. 26 to March 5, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Nigeria emerged the overall champions of the 5th African Wrestling Championship which ended on Sunday night at the Alfred Diete Spiff Sports Complex in Port Harcourt. Sunday also marks the end of the five-day competition in the Garden City. NBBF Announces 18 Man List For FIBA World Cup Qualifiers
D’Tigers coach Alex Nwora on Sunday named the country’s 18-man squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifiers in Bamako, Mali, from February 23 to 25. On the list released by the Nigeria Basketball Federation, five players from the squad who helped Nigeria win silver at the 2017 Afrobasket and two members of the 2015 Afrobasket winning squad topped the list.
