Lobi Stars forward Kingsley Eduwo has passed a medical with CS Sfaxien and he is now set to sign for the Tunisian club. The striker, who was sensationally dropped from the CHAN Eagles, went through the medical routine from Friday and concluded on Saturday morning. He is now expected to sign a three-and-half-year deal, his rep Olanrewaju Famakinwa said.

Liverpool may not have forgiven Brazil international Philippe Coutinho for forcing a move to Barcelona after the club had persuaded him to remain at Anfield. After Liverpool turned down series of bids from Barcelona, the La Liga table toppers returned in January in a more aggressive fashion and secured a deal for the Brazilian. The deal is believed to be in the region of about £146m.

Manchester United are reportedly making a shock sensational move to secure the transfer of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal before the end of the January transfer window. The Chile international has less than six months left on his contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Manchester City. City had attempted to snatch the striker last summer but failed on the last minute after Arsenal made futile attempt to sign his replacement.

Former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has dumped Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins’ Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua and has rejoined his first club in Argentina Boca Juniors.

He was once reportedly the highest paid player in the world, earning €750,000 with the Chinese club.

Valencia have announced that they have reached an agreement to sign Francis Coquelin from Arsenal, with the value of the deal reportedly worth £12 million. Coquelin had joined Arsenal in 2008 as a youth, and made 150 Premier League appearances for the club, but had not featured prominently this season.

Barcelona record signing Philippe Coutinho will be out for weeks after it was confirmed he has an injury in his right thigh. Coutinho signed a five-and-five-year contract with Barca on Monday to finalise a transfer that could be worth up to £142m to Liverpool, thus making him the second most expensive player in history after Neymar who cost PSG £200m from Barca.

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is expected to have a medical at Chelsea on Friday before a £15m move to Stamford Bridge. Barkley turned down a move to Chelsea on transfer deadline day in August. But negotiations between the clubs resumed once the transfer window re-opened on 1 January. The 24-year-old England man rejected a new deal at Everton and is out of contract at the end of this season, opening the door to a cut-price move.
