The Besiktas president has said that the striker Cenk Tosun will join Everton and that the transfer will be completed by the weekend. The negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing for several weeks and the two parties met in London on Wednesday, agreeing a deal which will see the 26-year-old join the Premier League side for £27m.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the English Premier League side would sign Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos from PAS Giannina in the current transfer window and then send him out on loan. Mavropanos will complete a move to the Emirates Stadium this week in a deal worth around 2 million pounds.  Speaking about the deal after Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Wednesday, Wenger said: “Yes (he is joining us), but he’s not ready to play for us. We’ll give him out on loan.”

Leicester City have finally completed that signing of Adrien Silva from Sporting Lisbon, putting months of "frustration" behind him after finally completing his registration. The Portugal international was unable to seal a £22 million move from Sporting Lisbon on transfer deadline day last summer as the paperwork was submitted 14 seconds late.

English football club Swansea City on Thursday appointed Carlos Carvalhal as their new head coach. "The 52-year-old former Besiktas, Sporting Lisbon and Sheffield Wednesday boss has been given the Swans job initially until the end of the season with the option of an extension," the club announced in a statement.

Manchester City FC and Nigeria striker Olanrewaju Kayode have been linked with a loan move away from La Liga club Girona to Bursaspor in Turkey. Kayode is on loan at Girona from Manchester City, whom he joined last summer from Austria Wien for around €4m. He is one of a number of City players at sister club Girona, but the Super Eagles star may now be requesting that he be loaned to another club.

Former Chelsea striker, Diego Costa is now set to play for Atletico Madrid from New Year's Day after his official presentation on Sunday. According to 90 Minutes, the Spanish forward during his presentation thanked Atletico Madrid for bringing him back to the club, having sealed his return from Chelsea. He said he was delighted at the opportunity to once again play for the club where he made his name before a switch to Stamford Bridge in 2014.

Eden Hazard's father, Thierry Hazard has revealed the reason why the player has refused to extend his contract with the West London Club. Thierry Hazard said the decision was aimed at making himself available in case Real Madrid come knocking in January. In an interview with Le Capitale, he said;
