Arsenal have submitted their first official bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports in Germany.

Arsene Wenger is hoping to reshape his forward line in light of Alexis Sanchez‘s impending transfer to Manchester United and Theo Waclott’s move to Everton, which was confirmed earlier this week.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to move to the Emirates having waved a teary goodbye to his United teammates on Friday and is likely to be joined by his former Dortmund teammate, who was absent from last night’s 1-1 draw against Hertha Berlin.

According To metro UK, the Bundesliga club are said to value the 28-year-old Gabon international at around €60million but Kicker claims Arsenal’s opening bid of just over €50m falls considerably short.

Aubameyang was pictured playing in a five-a-side match with friends while his current teammates were in action against Hertha.
