The Economic and Financial crime commission, EFCC has called on Nigerians that the room is now open for the public to bid for some properties and the agency secured its forfeiture through the court in favor of the federal government. The properties are spread across Nigeria from Abuja to Anambra, Gombe, Ebonyi, Kaduna, Cross River, Osun, Oyo states, Lagos, Rivers, Delta, Edo, and Kwara states which all were seized from politicians and businessmen that were involved in corruption in one way or the other.
Vigil360 learned that some of the exotic properties located in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt are mostly belonging to the former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke which were bought from the proceed of a crime she looted while serving as minister during former president Goodluck Jonathan's administration.
It was learned that 23 luxury properties were acquired at Banana Island Estate, Lagos state by the former minister all confiscated by the anti-graft from her.
As contained in the public notice shared by the EFCC yesterday, individuals and corporate organizations who are interested in those properties must fulfill the condition that they were not at any time prosecuted by the commission.
The anti-graft directed members of the public to visit their website: www.efcc.gov.ng to download the bidding form noting that interested bidders are invited to inspect the properties.
The property includes Flat 1, Heritage Court Estate, Rivers State; a three-bedroom apartment unit with one-room boys’ quarters located at Foreshore Estate off Onikoyi road, Ikoyi, Lagos State among many others.
