National Youth Service Corps Members are to get N100 million interest-free loans as part of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) unit of the scheme.

Sokoto State NYSC Coordinator, Musa Abubakar, disclosed this on Friday at the NYSC Cultural Carnival organized to boost peace, unity and integration of the nation.

He stated that the aim is to reduce poverty, unemployment as well as help corps members establish small-scale enterprises and become employers of labour.

Abubakar said the NYSC management had also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in that direction.

Each Corps member is expected to get up to N3 million, which will be released by NYSC, Central Bank of Nigeria, Bank of Agriculture, Bank of Industry, Heritage Bank, and the NYSC Foundation.
