Following the twist of Big Brother, over the first immediate eviction process after the head of house (HoH) game, Amaka has been evicted from the live show, after both the latter and Doyin topped the nomination process with six votes each. The tie was broken by Big Brother after nullifying a vote from Doyin cumulative votes made by a fake house, giving Doyin an edge over Amaka.

Walt Disney Overtakes Netflix On Streaming Subscribers

Walt Disney’s streaming services—Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+—have overtaken Netflix in the number of viewers, pushing its total number of paying streaming customers to 221mn, slightly ahead of Netflix. Commenting on the results for the streaming services, Bob Chapek, CEO, The Walt Disney Company, said: “with 14.4 million Disney+ subscribers added in the fiscal third quarter, we now have 221 million total subscriptions across our streaming offerings”. The firm reported 221.1 million subscribers across its three streaming platforms beating the 220.7 million subscribers Netflix announced in July. Walt Disney Company ended June with a total of 221.1 million streaming subscribers, edging past the 220.6 million posted by Netflix for the same period.

Court Sentences Baba Ijesha To 16 Years In prison

An Ikeja Special Offences Court has convicted Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James also known as Baba Ijesha on 14th July 2022 sexually assaulting a fourteen (14) years old minor . Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo has sentenced Ijesha to sixteen (16) years imprisonment, also facing six counts of child defilement that include indecent treatment on child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetrations, and sexual assault by penetration. However, the defendant was found guilty of four charges out of six counts leveled against him.
