Nollywood actress and producer in Yoruba Film industry, Tayo Odueke popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo because of a movie role she has taken up has revealed the reason why she is often being viewed as a wayward woman. In an interview with Sunday Scoop, the actress said because of the role she played in a movie titled Sikirat Sindodo.

Black Panther has reportedly become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time, after the Marvel blockbuster surpassed the previous mark set by "The Avengers". Hollywood Reporter reports that following Friday night, March 23, 2018's total, "Black Panther" has raked in over $624 million at the domestic box office since its debut six weeks ago.

Hip-hop magnate Russell Simmons was slapped Friday with a $10-million rape lawsuit filed by a woman in Los Angeles, the latest in a string of accusations against him ranging from harassment to rape. The unidentified woman said in the complaint filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court that the mogul raped her in a hotel after the two met at a concert and then went to a club.

The inaugural Nollywood showcase event in Hollywood is billed to kick off today, at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

The event, co-presented by the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California and The Grauman Egyptian Theatre, will screen films such as The Bridge by Kunle Afolayan and Isoken by Jade Osiberu.

The red-carpet event will start with opening night that will feature the screening of 93 Days, a question and answer series moderated by the chairman of the African-American wing of the Directors Guild of America and an open air, post-screening Nigerian party on the historic Hollywood Boulevard.
