Nigerian Music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known by his stage name, Tubaba has condemned the alleged auctioning of Nigerians and other Africans as slaves in Libya. The music legend who took to his Instagram page to voice his displeasure over the inhuman act, called on all African leaders to take urgent steps toward addressing the issue.

He lamented that trafficking of immigrants is a primitive and inhuman act that should not be permitted in this age.


His post on the gram read;


“Unbelievable, African leaders must take action immediately. This should not be business as usual, eradicate poverty, build infrastructure, upgrade healthcare, and upgrade education system, Say no to corruption, wake up Africa!”


Recall that CNN recently aired a documentary alleging trafficking of illegal immigrants including Nigerians in Libya. The report further claimed that in most cases, these immigrants are engaged in forced labour or out rightly auctioned as slaves at the cost of $400.
