American actor Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum announced on Monday, that they are going their separate ways after nearly nine years of blissful marriage.

The couple posted a joint statement on their respective Instagram pages.

"Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now."

"There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision-just two best-friends realizing it's time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible," they added.

"We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly."

The couple fell in love on the set of "Step Up" a romantic dance movie shot in Baltimore, Maryland in 2006. They married in 2009 and gave birth to their daughter Everly, four years later.

Just last year, the couple celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in style, while heading to a wilderness in Michigan.

last month, Tatum posted a photo of himself and Dewan on his Instagram with the caption, "When you fall asleep around a toddler."

Dewan Tatum is currently the host of NBC's "World of Dance," and Channing is set to voice the role of Migo in the upcoming animated film, "Smallfoot."
