Nigerian Reggae dancehall artiste, Patoranking is set to make history as the first African artiste to perform at the biggest Reggae Festival in Jamaica, Reggae Sumfest. The organizers of the event, Downsound Entertainment who made this known in a statement posted on its website, stated that the 25th edition of the event which will take place at Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre, Montego Bay on Friday, would be streamed live.
“It is a momentous occasion and we want to share this with not just Patoranking fans but all of Africa. Patoranking’s song, ‘My Woman, My Everything’, topped dancehall charts on the Island and to show a diversity of culture the Nigerian star has been added to Reggae Sumfest’s international night.”
The statement listed other artistes to perform at the event to include Canadian hip hop artiste, Tony Lanez; Sean Paul, Alkaline, Sizzla, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Queen Ifrica, Sean Kingston, Beenie Man, Christopher Martin, Jah Cure and Stephen Marley.
