Nigerian pop star Wizkid missed his Coachella performance scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2018, due to some visa issues.
His band members could not secure their visas on time, leading to Wizkid missing his much-anticipated performance in California.
Star Boy, tweeted on Saturday "Band had some visa issues...I’m upset bt See Y'all next week".
Wizkid will now be performing next week as announced by the official Coachella Twitter account. "We are sorry to announce that Wizkid is unable to make it into the country to join us this weekend but will be performing next weekend."
Coachella, the music festival holds every year in the sunny state of California and features the biggest and best performers on the planet.
It enjoys a reputation as one of the biggest and most reputed music festivals in the world. This year’s edition holds from April 13 to April 22, 2018.
Hip-hop icon, Eminem is one of three headliners, along with Beyonce and neo-R&B singer and pop star, The Weeknd.
The flop has angered fans who went on a rampage on twitter to express their displeasure.
"Wizkid coming up with excuses these days: Passport renewal got delayed, visa issues, feeling sick, trying to catch his breath, the loud he smoked was too bad he can’t rehearse .... Davido is always catching flights and turning up! Talent is great, but hardwork cuts the Cheque! said bhadmus hakeem.
Another fan and Twitter user wrote "Wizkid claims his band had Visa issues hence why he won’t be performing at Coachella tonight. You knew you were going to be at Coachella almost 8 months ago? Y’all couldn’t fix your visa issues since?? Davido’s team will never give such a flimsy excuse."
