The leader of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in the South East, Alhaji Gidado Saddikie has accused Nigerians of politicizing the violent clashes between farmers and herdsmen, resulting in avoidable lost of lives and properties across the country. Saddiki who was reacting to the various statements made by some individuals after the recent killing in Benue state called on the government to approach the matter with all sense of sincerity devoid of sentiment, politics and religion.

Police in Lagos have apprehended two of the suspected robbers that invaded the home of popular Nigerian Comic Actor, John Okafor also known as Mr Ibu during the weekend.

According to report, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent, Chike Oti confirmed the arrest and that the two suspects had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), for further investigation.

The Federal Government has assured Nigerians in all parts of the country that it will not condone further attacks by herdsmen. Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), gave the assurance on Monday at a meeting with some state governors in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Security analyst and retired military officer, Col Hassan Stan Labo (rtd) has described the menace of Boko Haram as worse than the activities of Boko Haram in the North East. Labo who stated this on Thursday when he appeared on Channels Television programme, 'Politics Today' called on the Federal Government to urgently wade into the matter or expect its degeneration in the coming months.
