Gunmen Kidnap Ebonyi Medical Director, Admin Staff In Kogi

The Police in Ebonyi State Police has confirmed the kidnap of the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Dr Emeka Onwe Ogah and one of his Administrative officer.

A Federal High court found the two former officials of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), Mohammed Dogonyaro Audu (also known as Abdullahi Dogonyaro Mohammed) and Yahaya Ayodeji guilty, over a N1 Billion contract scam. Audu was found guilty on counts 1 to 10 and sentenced to seven years on each count without an option of fine amounting to 70 years. Ayodeji was found guilty on counts 1, 3, 4, 5 and 9 and also sentenced to seven years on each count amounting to 35 years.

The Nigerian government has confirmed the death of 26 young girls on the Mediterranean Sea. The confirmation was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Tope Elias-Fatile. The statement said that the Ministry has received a reliable report from its Mission in Rome, confirming that the dead bodies of the 26 suspected girls were Nigerians.

The Lagos State High Court in Igbosere has dismissed the two applications by alleged kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans seeking to quash charges of murder and illegal sales of firearms preferred against him. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a ruling on Friday, November 10, described the applications as misconceived and lacking in merit.
