The billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike (popularly known as Evans), has changed his guilty plea to two-count of amended charges of conspiracy and kidnapping to “not guilty.” Evans made the plea while appearing before, Justice Hakeem Oshodi of the Ikeja Division of the Lagos State High Court on Thursday, he pleaded not guilty to the charges of conspiracy to commit felony to wit kidnapping under Section 411 of the Lagos State Criminal Laws and also to kidnapping.

Justice Hadiza Shagari of Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture of N1.96 billion allegedly belonging to an oil company, Ontario Oil and Gas, over alleged fraudulent sale of refined petroleum. The order was issued, following an ex parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seeking attachment of the funds.

A clergyman, Rev. Fr. Timothy Nwanja attached to St. Mary’s parish, Okpokueze Nkomoro community, Imoho Development Centre in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen, according to reports. The cleric was abducted around 8:30pm on Sunday, along with his cook, the reports said.
