Former agitators from oil producing areas of Delta State have threatened to resume attacks on oil facilities in the region in reaction to perceived discriminating actions and policies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa concerning the affairs of Delta Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

There is rising tension in Epe area of Lagos State following the early morning raid of Government Model Secondary School, Igbonla by about ten unknown gunmen. The gunmen who stormed the school in early hours reportedly abducted four students.
Some social media reports claimed that the abductors had earlier intimated the school authorities of their planned attack.

The Nigerian Customs Service today intercepted a container-load of arms and ammunition at the Tin Can Island Port in Lagos. The container was found at the Ports and Cargo Terminal. Vigil360 sources at the port revealed that the Customs officials are currently counting the arms. The terminal has been cordon-off as everyone has been ordered to vacate the area.

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility on Tuesday for bombing a pop concert in the British city of Manchester and killing 22 people, including children. The group said in a statement published on its social media channels that “one of the caliphate’s soldiers placed bombs among the crowds,” and threatened more attacks.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission on Wednesday arraigned two whistle blowers before Justice M. T Salisu of the Federal High Court, Maiduguri, Borno state for allegedly giving the agency false information. The suspects were identified as Buhari Fannami and Ba-Kura Abdullahi.
