Terrorists Kill 17 In Yobe, Raze School

Suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) Terrorists have murdered 17 persons in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe state when two dozen fighters dressed in military-like uniforms sneaked on foot into the community on Wednesday. Geidam, which is the hometown of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali-Baba and located 177 kilometres away from Damaturu, the state capital, shares a border with the Niger Republic and Damasak.

According to eye witness the terrorists attacked a popular bar located at Kwari ward, in the town around 10Pm where they slaughtered their victims and injured two. They also forced their way into the staff quarters of a nearby technical college killing two people and torching buildings.

Residents who sighted the attackers mistook them for troops from a base in the town.
