Osinbajo Warns Those Wishing For Nigeria’s Breakup, Says They Won’t Succeed

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has cautioned detractors against fanning embers of disunity among Nigerians. VP Osinbajo gave the warning, yesterday, during a courtesy visit at the palace of Abubakar Shehu III, the Emir of Gombe. He expressed optimism that Nigeria will remain one indivisible entity no matter the agitation for a breakup just as he assured that the fervent prayers of those wishing Nigeria well will definitely triumph over those wishing for the country’s breakup. The Vice President also said those wishing the country well were more than those wishing for the country’s breakup. He added that chances are that God will hear the wishes of those praying for the country’s survival.

Service Chiefs Restates Their Loyalty and Support To CDS

Service Chiefs have agreed to subordinate themselves under the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, in line with universal best practices. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal OladayoAmao, stated that Commanders of all ongoing military operations will henceforth report directly to Irabor, as obtained in military organizations across the world. The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, informed that the Service Chiefs took the decision to strengthen efforts to check the security challenges in the country.

Insecurity: I Am Not A Negotiator For Bandits – Sheikh Gumi

The Kaduna based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has disclosed that he is not a negotiator for bandits. The cleric stated this when he received, Senator Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna central in the 8th Assembly.

FRSC Deploys 25,224 Personnel, 580 patrol Vehicles For Easter Celebration

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said that it would deploy 25, 224 officers to all highways nationwide beginning from Wednesday, March 31 to end April 7 to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration. A statement made by the Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal BisiKazeemon Saturday informed that the deployed personnel including 7,100 Officers, 18,124 Marshals Inspectors and Road Marshal assistants 15,225 Special Marshals would cover all the identified areas across the country.
