Embattled former Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, on Monday, lambasted the Federal Government for alleging that he confessed to the non-declaration of assets charge that resulted to his suspension from office by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has urged the incoming members of the 9th National Assembly to rise above politics, religion and ethnicity in order to address the common challenges confronting the country. Ekeremadu made the call on Thursday while speaking at a dinner organized to mark the end of the orientation programme for the 9th National Assembly-elect.

President Muhammadu Buhari has explained why his administration might be considered as slow. Speaking on Tuesday while responding to questions at a town hall meeting with the Nigerian community in Dubai, Buhari said he does not care if he is called “Baba go slow” as long as he is not looting the country’s treasury.

The Federal Government has today advised Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to be careful and stop overheating the politics with purported self-help moves after losing the February presidential election.

President Buhari Cuts Short Trip

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday night had cut short his trip and returned to Abuja the Nation's capital. This is as a result of the worsening cases of banditry attack on residents in the North West region of the Federation, especially in Zamfara and Kaduna state.
