The Adamawa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has threatened to boycott the supplementary governorship election in the state, if INEC insisted on conducting it on Thursday. The party made its decision known on Wednesday in a statement issued by the State Organizing Secretary of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan. 

Supreme Court Justice Emerges New Emir Of Lafia

Justice Sidi Bage of the Supreme Court has emerged the 17th Emir of Lafia Emirate following the demise of Alhaji Mustapha Agwai I on January 10. Haruna Osegba, Nasarawa State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made the announcement on Tuesday in Lafia after the state traditional council meeting.

An Abuja lawyer, Johnmary Jideobi has dragged the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed to court over an allegedly false claim he made against the embattled suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen who is currently undergoing trial over alleged non-declaration of assets.
