Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has congratulated the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on his re-election for a second term. Fayose in a post on his verified Twitter handle described Wike’s victory as a historic one.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says it will await the decision of the Supreme Court to enable it to determine the fate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara state.  Dailypost had reported earlier that the commission withheld certificates of return of the state Governor-elect, Alhaji Mukhtar Shehu, following the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Sokoto.

Speaking on Monday at the University of Lagos, where he delivered the Convocation Lecture ahead of the university’s 50th anniversary, Osinbajo said the focus of the Buhari administration in the next four years will be to address, among other things, the deficiencies in the quality of human resources caused by poor education and healthcare.
