The Adamawa supplementary election which was set to hold on Saturday 23rd has been put on hold. Justice Abdulazeez Waziri of the Adamawa state High Court on Thursday in Yola has re-adjourned ruling on the counter motion filed by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), which was seeking to vacate the motion ex-parte restraining INEC from conducting a supplementary Governorship election.

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has expressed confidence that the party will reclaim its victory in court after filing a suit challenging the declaration of Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress as winner of the February 23 presidential elections.

The rumours going round that All Progressives Congress (APC) National leader, Sen. Bola Tinubu was in Kano to help in manipulating results of Gubernatorial re-run election in favour of the APC was debunked by the leader of the party on Wednesday through statement made available to newsmen in Lagos by Tinubu’s Media Adviser, Mr Tunde Rahman.

The Senator representing Delta Central District in the National Assembly, Ovie Omo-Agege has reacted to the nullification of his re-election by a Federal High Court sitting in Asaba. In a statement signed by his media aide, Anaughe Godwin, the Senator maintained that the judgment cannot alter the status quo, stressing that he remains the valid senator-elect for his Senatorial District.

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has called on Nigerian workers to double their efforts towards increasing productivities following the passage of the bill on the new minimum wage on the floor of the Senate, on Tuesday.
He also assured that the payment of the new minimum wage would commence immediately.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo state has said the incoming administration of Emeka Ihedioha will probe the outgoing administration of Rochas Okorocha to ascertain how state funds were deployed in the last eight years.
