The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Friday approved next year’s budget proposal. The approval was done during the special FEC session presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.  According to Dailytrust, the meeting which started by 10:30am lasted till around 1:30pm at the Presidential Villa.

All appears not to be well with members of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) following the controversial endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. A member of the Coalition, National Conscience Party (NCP), described as an affront, the endorsement of Atiku as consensus candidate for 2019 election.

INEC Appoints New Secretary

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the appointment of Mrs. Rose Orianran-Anthony as the newadministrative secretary, Delta State.

President Buhari To Present 2019 Budget Next Week

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to present the 2019 budget to the National Assembly next week. It gathered that the president will tomorrow chair a special session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to deliberate and approve the 2019 budget.

President Muhammadu Buhari has once again, declined assent to the 2018 Electoral Act Amendment Bill and has returned it to the National Assembly.  The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang made this known to State House Correspondents on Friday.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, after a crucial meeting at the national secretariat. The meeting was attended by the National Working Committee (NWC), governorship candidates, state chairmen and state secretaries at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, Nigeria.
