The Presidency on Thursday gave an insight into why there was delay in presentation of the 2019 Appropriation bill to a joint session of the National Assembly. Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, said if the executive must present the budget proposals to the legislative arm, it would first take a cursory look at the overall performance of the 2018 budget that was approved.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over his promise to create jobs if he emerges as Nigeria President in 2019. The Abia State Chairman of the party, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital said the PDP was attempting to deceive Nigerians into returning them to power in 2019.

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Musa Abaji as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Premiumtimes reports.  According to the report, the President made his appointment known via a letter to the Senate on Tuesday.
In the letter which was read by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, he said the appointment was according to the advice of the National Judicial Council.

The Presidency on Thursday night urged Nigerians to ignore claims by former President Goodluck Jonathan that there is more corruption in the President Muhammadu Buhari led government than his administration. The Presidency in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said that the claim was absolutely untrue and lacked empirical evidence.

Two House of Representatives members have dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The members identified as Kolawole Babatunde (Ondo) and Mukaila Kazeem (Ogun), resigned from the ruling party on Wednesday, November 21 to enable them pursue their future political ambitions.
