Nigeria's Economy Safe Under President Buhari – Sen. Udoma

The Minister of Budget and Planning, Senator Udo Udoma has assured Nigerians that the nation's economy was safe under President Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that the positive trends recorded in the country’s economic indicators since the launch of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) indicated that the plan was working.

Dr. Junaidu Mohammed says there is nothing wrong with the recent travel ban placed on some high profile Nigerians facing corruption charges by President Muhammadu Buhari. He stressed that only those whose hands are not clean would be disturbed by such a ban. He called on those disenchanted with the ban to approach the court.

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose says he is not afraid to face the reported investigation panel set up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drill him at the expiration of his tenure next week. The Governor, who spoke on Wednesday during the inauguration of a new school he built in his Afao-Ekiti home country as part of his legacies projects in the state, said he was not afraid to face the EFCC.

The immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has revealed how he will storm the Economic and Financial Crime Commission office on Tuesday, to honour the invitation earlier extended to him. Fayose, whose tenure expired midnight on Monday, had been invited to answer to allegations that he received about N1.3bn from the Office of the National Security Adviser, NSA through the then Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.
