The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed on Thursday described the President Muhammadu Buhari's administration as God-sent, noting that the government has achieved so much within the space of three years. The Minister stated this when the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, led a team of permanent secretaries on a courtesy visit to him.
Dino Melaye Heads To Supreme Court To Stop Recall Process
Embattled Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has lodge an appeal at the Supreme Court urging the apex court to declare the petitions submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission seeking his recall as illegal. The Senator in an appeal he filed against the March 16, 2018 judgment of the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal also urged the apex court to declare the recall process as illegal.
Tenure Extension: APC To Take Final Decision On Monday
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of All Progressives Congress (APC) would take final decision Monday on tenure elongation for national and state executives of the party.
The National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said on Wednesday in Abuja at the end of a three-hour meeting between the governors and the National Working Committee (NWC).
The party had on Tuesday, constituted a 10-member technical committee headed by Gov. Simon Dalung of Plateau to work out the way forward on the tenure issue.

Buhari Approves Release Of $1bn For Security Equipment
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday approved the release of $1bn for the procurement of security equipment to assist the prosecution of ongoing war against insurgency in the North East.
The approval was reportedly granted during a closed-door meeting involving the President and all Service Chiefs.
