Senator Ali Ndume, a strong contender for the position of the Senate President in the 9th National Assembly has arrived at the premises of the National Assembly. He arrived at about 7:18 am on Tuesday ahead of the inauguration and election of the leadership of the 9th National Assembly.

Vigil360 correspondent accredited to cover the ceremony said Ndume exchanged pleasantries with some officials of the National Assembly on arrival and before going straight to the mosque within the premises to pray.

Apart from Ndume, other notable Senators-elect including Orji Kalu, Ike Ekweremadu and Dino Melaye are all at the Premises of the Assembly.

Meanwhile, Dailypost reports that Rochas Okorocha has also entered into the National Assembly premises and was seen entering into the annex office of the Senate President at about 7:45 am. The report, however, said it was unclear whether he was on invitation or he had been cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission to take part in the inauguration.
