Former Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly told friends that he would have secured the services of John Terry on a free transfer if he was still Manchester United boss, The Sun has reported. The report stated that Alex Ferguson who had attempted to sign Terry at the start of his career at Chelsea is still convinced that he could still play at the highest level at least for another season.
Terry signed a £60,000-a-week deal with Aston Villa this week. His new coach, Steve Bruce has also expressed confidence that the new addition would contribute to the success of the club.
