Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr arrived the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday evening ahead of the World Cup Qualifying match against the Chipolopolo of Zambia billed to take place on October 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Airport, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. The German tactician who had returned to the country with the home-based Eagles that prosecuted the recently concluded West African Football Union (WAFU) Nations Cup in Ghana has been in Lagos.


According to NFF sources, Rohr and some foreign based players would be in Abuja till Monday before moving to Uyo to intensify preparations for the all important clash. The Super Eagles camp will open officially on Monday.


"The source who craved anonymity said Coach Gernot Rohr travelled to Abuja today (Thursday) to continue his preparation for the Zambia match in Uyo.


“He will spend this weekend in Abuja where he will also meet with some of the officials of the NFF . He will travel to Uyo on Monday for the match,” he added.


Meanwhile, some foreign based Super Eagles players have arrived the country ahead of the tie.  On Wednesday, Odion Ighalo arrived the country. Mikel is expected in the country this weekend.
