Chile's former Under-20 and Under-17 Coach, Jose Sulantay has criticized aggrieved Arsenal striker and country man, Alexis Sanchez for being too fat and out of physical shape following the country's defeat to Paraguay.  Sulantay made his observation known in a chat with La Cuarta after Chile's 3-0 World Cup qualifier loss.  "I saw him gone, I saw him out of physical shape, totally.

He’s fatter than normal. Without his spark, he never left that Paraguayan defence behind. He never made a diagonal run, it was something else. It was not Alexis. This can bring you problems later, the statements of wanting to leave. The team-mates must have felt nothing for him.”

Sanchez failed to secure a move away from the Emirate despite huge interest from Manchester City. Manchester City had offered a deal worth £60m. Arsene Wenger who failed to convince the player to sign a new deal at the club insisted that the player was not for sale but later rescinded his decision after indications emerged that he could get Thomas Lamar as a replacement.

He subsequently failed to Sanction Sanchez's transfer when a deal for Lamar failed. As it stands, Sanchez is now billed to play out his last year of his contract and could leave on a free transfer next season.

So far, he has made a single appearance for Arsenal this season. Last season, he scored a total of 24 goals and created 10 assists in 38 Premiership appearances.
