Chelsea Football Club is reportedly set to lure German striker, Thomas Muller away from Bayern Munich when the January transfer window opens. According to The Mirror, Chelsea is already keeping close tabs on the player's progress in Germany in a bid to make the required bid that would land him at Stanford Bridge.

The reports disclosed further that apart from Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all enquired this summer to see if they could sign him, but Bayern was unwilling to play ball. Consequently, the Blues are now willing to wait until January to formerly submit a bid for the player.

Muller's place in Bayern Munich is increasingly being threatened, especially following his dismal performance last season. Muller scored a paltry 8 goals last season, which was the first season he would score under 20 for the club since 2012. He had scored 32 goals the preceding season to assist the club to a successive title defense.

Muller joined Bayern Munich when he was 10 years old.
