Woman all over the world have joined a call to boycott Twitter over the platform's treatment of actress Rose McGowan.

It started as a reaction to McGowan's temporary suspension from Twitter (TWTR, Tech30) earlier this week and quickly escalated to the number one global trend on the social media platform on Friday as #WomenBoycottTwitter.

The Irish High Court ruled on Thursday, that Apple may proceed to build a 850 million euro ($1 billion) data center in Ireland bringing relief for the government after a two-year planning delay. Apple in February 2015 announced plans to build the data center in a rural location in the west of Ireland to take advantage of rich green energy sources nearby.

Uber is facing at least five criminal investigations by the US Justice Department over numerous allegations including intellectual property theft, a lack of price transparency and the use of regulator-dodging software.

Paris authorities plan to banish all petrol- and diesel-fueled cars from the world’s most visited city by 2030, Paris City Hall said on Thursday, Reuters reports. The move marks an acceleration in plans to wean the country off gas-guzzlers and switch to electric vehicles in a city often obliged to impose temporary bans due to surges in particle pollution in the air.
