Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-Rufai revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed billionaire mogul Aliko Dangote to construct Kaduna – Birnin gwari-Niger state as part of his contribution to the government to enjoy tax holiday.

El-Rufai disclosed this while holding a town hall meeting at Birnin-gwari. He assured the people of the area that the spate of violence they have been witnessing will soon be issue of the past as Mr, president has promised to bring the perpetrators to justice.

During a campaign tour, the Governor was quoted saying President Buhari has ordered the establishment of military structure in the town in addition to a police command that is in place.

According to him, Dangote has already committed up to N5 billion into the said project, noting this as part of the condition federal government granted him as his tax holiday.

Speaking on the spate of violence that recently engulfed the town and its suburb, the governor revealed “the security agencies are acting on intelligence reports that the insurgents that have been attacking Zamfara and Katsina states are now relocating to Birnin Gwari and Chikun local governments”

The governor noted that Birnin gwari and Lere are outstanding local government that had never witnessed crises until recent time despite their ethnic diversities.

El-Rufai advised local Government who have been witnessing crises to borrow a leave from Lere and Birnin gwari Local governments. Noting that failure of the local government administration system and ethnoreligious leadership are part and parcel of the current crises.
