Grammy Award-winner, Wizkid has featured Canadian pop star Justin Bieber on the remix of his popular “Essence” song, which is off his “Made in Lagos” album. Recall that on Thursday, Big Wiz teased the collaboration on his Twitter page when he tweeted: “Got something special for you guys tomorrow.” Later in the day, Wizkid also made the announcement of the collaboration via an Instagram post with a poster that read, “Wizkid. Tems. Justin Bieber. Essence”. He also shared the record's cover on his social media and appreciated Wizkid for having him on the song.
"Thank u for letting me jump on the song of the summer. Essence remix out tonight," Bieber said.
The main version of the record currently sits at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Bieber-backed remix is set to make the song chart even higher.
The song Essence released back in October 2020, originally featured upcoming artiste Tems, the song broke through the Nigerian airwaves into the international audience early this year.
