Ugandan Parliament Suspended Over Murders Of Several Women

Uganda's parliament says it will stop meeting until the government presents a report into a string of murders that some fear is the work of a serial killer. A parliamentary session on Tuesday decided to suspend further meetings indefinitely after senior government officials failed to present an explanation for the killings of women around the capital, Kampala.

Kenya's electoral commission has announced changes in its top personnel to oversee the new presidential election next month while campaigning officially began Wednesday. Kenya will hold another presidential election on October 17 after its disputed vote last month was thrown out, the country's election commission said.
