A Bangladeshi aircraft carrying 67 passengers and four crew members has crashed as it was landing at Kathmandu airport in Nepal, on Monday, killing about 50 on board, with many injured. The aircraft, which belongs to US-Bangla Airlines, a privately owned Bangladeshi carrier,

United Kingdom Counterterrorism Police has reportedly commenced investigation into possible hate crime after several people received letters calling on them to attack Muslims on April 3, termed in the leaflet as "punish a Muslim" day. According to Al Jazeera, Several Britons in London, the West Midlands and Yorkshire said they received the printed letter through the post. The leaflet read;

Tension between Israel and Palestine appears to be rising after a young unarmed Palestinian man was shot dead in occupied West Bank during a confrontation with Israeli soldiers and settlers in the village of Urif, south of Nablus. The 23-year-old, identified as Imayyer Shehadeh, was shot in the chest and succumbed to his wounds shortly after at the Rafidia hospital in Nablus, according to Al Jazeera.

At least five people were killed when a Russian security services helicopter crashed in Russia’s Chechnya region, RIA news agency reported on Wednesday. This is coming a day after a Russian transport plane crashed in Syria. The agency had initially reported there were seven dead, but later said at least five were killed. Russian news agencies said there were a total of nine people on board.

US President Donald Trump has indicated that he might attend the inauguration of the new American embassy in Jerusalem as he reaffirmed his country's support to Israel's security during his talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital in December and announced that the US embassy would move to the city in May, shortly after Israel's 70th anniversary.
