After more than a decade of secrecy, Israel has confirmed it has conducted a 2007 military raid on what was believed to be a Syrian nuclear reactor. The Israeli army said a total of eight F-16 and F-15 fighter jets bombed a Syrian nuclear facility in Deir Az Zor, 450km north of Damascus, in a stealth operation that lasted four hours overnight on September 5 to 6, 2007.
Israel Arrest French Consulate Worker For Supplying Arms To The Palestinians
A French citizen employed at the country's consulate in Jerusalem will appear in court on Monday charged with smuggling weapons to Palestinians.
Israel's Shin Bet security agency said Romain Franck, 23, was arrested in February.
The agency said he used a diplomatic car to evade detection as he smuggled arms from Gaza to the West Bank.

A Russian plane lost a reported 200 bars of gold and other precious metals scattered across an airport runway in Russia after a cargo plane door broke off upon takeoff. Suicide Bomber Kills Dozens At Kabul Sakhi Shrine
At least 29 people have been killed and 52 wounded in a suspected suicide bomb attack near a shrine in the Afghan capital Kabul, officials say.
Initial reports suggest the bomber attacked a crowd of hundreds of people who had gathered to celebrate the start of Nowruz, the New Year festival.
Many in the crowd were minority Shia. Reports say the number killed may rise.
Israeli Soldiers Killed In West Bank Car Attack
Two Israeli soldiers were killed and three more were injured in a car ramming attack on Friday afternoon in the northern West Bank, according to the Israeli military and emergency services.
The attack happened at 4:15 p.m. near the settlement of Reihan, about 25 kilometers west of Jenin, the military said.
Law Of Reciprocity: Russia Plans To Expel British Diplomats
Russia’s foreign minister says the country will expel British diplomats “soon” as it moves to match the UK’s aggressive stance. Sergei Lavrov told Russian media the expulsions would “definitely” happen. The announcement follows suit with the UK, with Prime Minister Theresa May having confirmed yesterday that 23 Russian envoys would be made to leave Britain within a week.
