Security Operatives Foil Attack On Dangote Refinery, One Suspect Killed

Security operatives attached to the Dangote Refinery located in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos State foiled an attempted attack on the facility by suspected vandals. This was made known on Tuesday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.

Court Denies Abba Kyari, Co-defendants Bail

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday announced the rejection of the application bail filed by suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police and former head of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari. The court also rejected the application by his co-defendants, with whom he faces charges of illegal dealing in cocaine, including ACP Sunday Ubia, Inspector Simon Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu. Other Defendants in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, are; ASP Bawa James, as well as two drug traffickers that were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwane.

Police Arrest 11 For Burning Ogun Monarch To Death

The Nigeria Police, Zone 2 comprising Lagos and Ogun on Monday disclosed that it has arrested eleven persons in connection with the gruesome murder of Olu of Agodo, in Ekwekoro Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State, Oba Olajide Ayinde.The Zonal Public Relations Officer, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan-Lagos, in a statement said the traditional ruler was burnt to death in his car on January 24 near his village in Ewekoro LGA.

Former Governor Obiano Landed In EFCC Net Hours After Handing Over Power

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has yesterday arrested the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano few hours after he handed over office to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo. The Governor was nabbed by the men of the anti-graft at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos when he was about to flee the country.
