Alleged Fraud: Court Grants Okorocha N500m Bail

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail of N500 million to a former governor of Imo State and presidential aspirant, Rochas Okorocha. The presiding judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo gave the ruling on Tuesday, stating that a surety, who owns a property in Abuja, worth not less than N500 million is also required for the bail application.

Danish Killer Husband Receives Death Sentence

A Lagos High Court on Friday has sentenced a Dane, Peter Nielsen, to death by hanging for killing his Nigerian wife and daughter. Nielsen was arraigned on June 13, 2018. Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile convicted Nielsen, 54, on two counts of murder brought against him by the Lagos State Government.

Yahoo Yahoo Academy Busted In Bauchi, Scores Arrested

Security agency from Bauchi state led by the Nigerian police has busted a yahoo yahoo Academy in Bauchi town of Bauchi state undergoing a training program. Contained in a statement signed by the Police public relations officer, PPRO, SP Mohammed Wakil, that men of the command successfully organized an operation that lead to the arrest of one, Emmanuel Saleh, popularly known as Wizblaq, 22yrs of Rafin Zurfi area of the state who owns the Academy that engages in training youth on how to become a fraudster.

EFCC Arrests Former NDDC MD

A former Managing Director (MD) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Nsima Ekere was arrested on Wednesday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraud to the tune of N47 billion. According to reports, Ekere voluntarily submitted himself to the Commission’s Lagos zonal office.
