The embattled Leah Sharibu, a Dapchi school girl that was abducted by the Boko Haram in 2017 has confirmed to have delivered a baby to a Boko haram commander in the dreaded forest. Ahmed Salkida, a Journalist who serves as a link between the insurgent group and the general public confirmed it that Leah Sharibu has given birth in the Sambisa forest.


Recall Boko Haram abducted Leah Sharibu when they invaded Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapch, Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe state on February, 19, 2018.


Consequently, report emerge on Saturday that the young Sharibu was compelled to accept Islam and married off to one of the commanders of the dreaded group.


Leah was put to bed and was delivered of a baby for the commander few weeks ago after her forceful marriage to the commander. Confirming the news, Salkida through his post on his official twitter account disclosed that Leah is now a mother.


Salkida did not disclose the gender of the baby; his caption was “Why, I wonder, do we pretend that leaving Leah behind won’t result in pregnancy?


“Since the terror group announced condemning her to slavery, is there any step or collective focus on preventing similar occurrences? She’s a mother, but I don’t know about the gender of the baby.”
