President Buhari Condoles CAN Over Death Of Its Gen. Sec

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Christian community over the passing of the General Secretary of CAN, Rev. Musa Asake.

President Buhari’s condolence message is contained in a statement issued by Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Friday.

Amanda, the daughter of Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation tied the nuptial knots with Otelemaba Westwood in Abuja today.

The wedding was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari before he departed for the United States, to keep an appointment on Monday at the White House in Washington D.C. with President Donald Trump.

The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Ayokunle says the Christian community in Nigeria would sustain nationwide protest against the growing killings across the country by suspected herdsmen. He gave the warning on Saturday while speaking to Punch on the success of the nationwide protest held last week across churches in Nigeria. He also hailed the media for being transparent in the coverage of the exercise.

Following incessant killings, recent killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen and growing insecurity in the country, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBNC) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign. The CBCN urged President Buhari to stop presiding “over the killing fields and mass graveyard” that the country had allegedly become and choose the part of honour by considering “stepping aside to save the nation from total collapse.”
