The Paradox of Two Sick Presidents

The history of American democracy has records of presidents that had varying degree of illnesses and diseases while in office and in most cases, they served out their tenure. They include, Woodrow Wilson who had a stroke during his second presidential term. The ailment left him paralysed. He secluded himself in the White House while his wife helped him to hide his condition from the public.

Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has begun a fresh clampdown on associates of the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Retired Col. Sambo Dasuki . The anti-graft agency has seized 18 houses in an estate allegedly belonging to Alhaji Aliyu Usman, an associate of the former NSA.

Ali Modu Sheriff

The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed an application filled by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff praying the Court not to entertain an appeal filed by Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee of the party challenging the declaration of his Caretaker Committee as illegal by an Appeal Court sitting in Port-Harcourt.

Lamido Sanusi - Emir of Kano

The Kano state Government has called-off ongoing investigation of Muhammad Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano. This followed intervention of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd), Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd), the Sultan of Sokoto and some Northern governors.
