The controversy surrounding the Monday arrest and release of Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is yet to be over as over 30 armed mobile policemen have reportedly stormed his residence in Maitama, Abuja probably seeking to rearrest him.

Dino who took to his Facebook page to share his latest ordeal said the armed policemen had surrounded his residence and were barring people from accessing or exiting the area.

His post read;

"Over 30 heavily armed fierce looking mobile police men have just stormed My residence in Maitama, Abuja.‬ All roads leading to House has been condoned off, as heavy mobile police men blocked entry & exit of the road. They currently laid siege on in and around The house."

Recall that operatives of the Nigerian Immigration Service had on Monday morning effected the arrest of the Senator 'based on instruction' before releasing him hours later.

Senator Shehu Sani who confirmed his released had tweeted that Senator Melaye was now 'back to his house'.

It is unclear why the Police are laying siege on his residence after authorizing his release.
